Reports coming to Blueoceana Company today would indicate that as as-yet unnamed port worker who was preparing to work in a cargo hold of M/V DA GUI (See photo below) was fatally injured when struck by a steel beam that had fallen during the course of some voyage repair work.
Initial reports were unclear, inasmuch as the terms “wielding works” [sic] had been used, but it has subsequently been alleged that the fatally injured worker was part of a dockworker gang preparing to conduct cargo operations in a more or less concurrent fashion.
