Information coming to Blueoceana Company from a friend at Banjul Port, The Gambia, relates that a young lasher working aboard the Maersk-Line chartered vessel M\/V OEL INDIA<\/strong> (See<\/em> photos below) was killed in a fall suffered aboard that ship earlier today. We believe that information to be accurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports thus derived would have us understand that Mr.<\/strong> Ebrima Fofana<\/strong> was securing containers aboard that vessel when a deck crane moving another container struck him with its load, displacing him from his position and subjecting him to the impact injuries and the fall that ended his life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We await further information which may relate further facts. If we do receive supplemental information we will post it here as an UPDATE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May Allah Almighty grant him Jannatul Firdausi<\/strong>* and forgive him his shortcomings in life. Our Sympathy, Condolences to entire family. Amen”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*The literal meaning of Jannah is garden, and Firdaus is paradise. But to take it further, in Islam, there are many different layers of Heaven. Jannatul Firdaus would be the highest level of heaven. it is where you would find Prophet Muhammad.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
