{"id":6773,"date":"2024-02-07T14:32:19","date_gmt":"2024-02-07T19:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blueoceana.com\/?p=6773"},"modified":"2024-02-11T08:54:23","modified_gmt":"2024-02-11T13:54:23","slug":"stevedore-foreman-fatally-injured-backed-over-by-reachstacker-georgetown-port-guyana-06-february-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueoceana.com\/?p=6773","title":{"rendered":"Stevedore Foreman Fatally Injured: Backed Over By Reachstacker  [Georgetown Port, Guyana &#8211; 06 February 2024]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Information coming to Blueoceana Company this afternoon would have us understand that Mr. Trevor Jones, a 64 year old stevedore foreman working the late shift at the John Fernandes Wharf at Georgetown Port, Guyana, was backed-over by the right rear wheel of a reachstacker yesterday morning (06 February) at the facility&#8217;s container yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Media reports (<em>See<\/em> links below) allege that Mr. Jones was observed near the rear of an operating reachstacker when he was struck by the machine&#8217;s counterweight. The impact pushed him to the side, whereupon the reachstacker&#8217;s right rear wheel ran over him; causing massive injuries.
