Information coming to Blueoceana Company this morning reveals that a yard tractor (in the local colloquialism: a “brute”) operator was killed last night (between 9:00\/10:00 PM) at the Pier E terminal, Puerto Nuevo, San Juan, Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our present understanding is that Sr. Gabriel Rosa, 32, a member of ILA Local Union 1740, was operating a yard tractor with a laden bombcart trailing, when he collided with a bombcart trailing behind another yard tractor within one of the Puerto Nuevo terminal’s main traffic lanes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmed reports allege that Sr. Rosa was propelled through his yard tractor’s windshield and suffered severe traumatic injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
