{"id":6194,"date":"2023-02-10T20:38:10","date_gmt":"2023-02-11T01:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blueoceana.com\/?p=6194"},"modified":"2023-02-13T10:38:02","modified_gmt":"2023-02-13T15:38:02","slug":"marine-terminal-worker-drowns-as-industrial-truck-falls-into-harbor-trieste-italy-09-february-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueoceana.com\/?p=6194","title":{"rendered":"Marine Terminal Worker Dead in Apparent Drowning, As Industrial Truck Falls Into Harbor  [Trieste, Italy  &#8211; 09 February 2023]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With great regret, Blueoceana Company has learned of an accident occurring yesterday at Trieste port, Italy, in which Sr. Paolo Borselli, a 58 year old forklift operator with many years of experience, allegedly lost control of his machine while at the port&#8217;s container terminal and ended up in the harbor where he apparently drowned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His body&#8217;s retrieval was reported as being problematical, inasmuch as it took several hours for divers to find and return him to the terminal. At least one report we&#8217;ve observed online indicates that he was moving &#8220;baskets&#8221; as the time (which we must assume to mean twist lock bins) near the foot of Pier 7.
