{"id":5308,"date":"2021-10-26T10:17:20","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T15:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blueoceana.com\/?p=5308"},"modified":"2021-10-29T13:24:42","modified_gmt":"2021-10-29T18:24:42","slug":"marine-terminal-worker-crushed-by-container-crane-25-october-2021-piraeus-greece","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueoceana.com\/?p=5308","title":{"rendered":"Marine Terminal Worker Struck &#038; Killed By Container Crane  [25 October 2021 &#8211; Piraeus, Greece]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Media reports reaching Blueoceana Company this morning, relate that an as-yet unnamed marine terminal worker in his 40&#8217;s was apparently crushed between a container bridge crane and its rails yesterday (25 October 2021) at the Greek port of Piraeus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The marine terminal at issue is known as The Piraeus Container Terminal (A COSCO-owned enterprise); the accident occurred approximately 7:15 PM (Athens time) at Pier Two. The worker is said to be an employee of DPort Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such accounts would have us understand that the worker had finished his shift and was returning to the crane to pick up some
