{"id":4916,"date":"2021-03-19T11:33:03","date_gmt":"2021-03-19T16:33:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blueoceana.com\/?p=4916"},"modified":"2021-03-19T11:33:04","modified_gmt":"2021-03-19T16:33:04","slug":"merchant-mariner-fatally-crushed-by-hatch-cover-vejle-havn-denmark-16-march-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueoceana.com\/?p=4916","title":{"rendered":"Merchant Mariner Fatally Crushed By Hatch Cover [Vejle Havn, Denmark &#8211; 16 March 2021]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With great regret, Blueoceana Company has been made aware of a merchant mariner&#8217;s fatal crushing accident aboard\u00a0<strong>M\/V SOLYMAR<\/strong>\u00a0at the Danish port of Vejle Havn on 16 March 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this particular accident, the merchant mariner and another crew member were laying out deck dunnage upon which a hatch cover being held aloft was to be ultimately placed. For reasons yet unknown, the elevated hatch cover came away from the supporting lifting gear and fell.
