{"id":4085,"date":"2019-12-03T09:32:47","date_gmt":"2019-12-03T14:32:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blueoceana.com\/?p=4085"},"modified":"2019-12-11T17:37:32","modified_gmt":"2019-12-11T22:37:32","slug":"young-docker-fatally-injured-in-workplace-accident-rotterdam-netherlands-02-december-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueoceana.com\/?p=4085","title":{"rendered":"Young Docker Fatally Injured in Shipboard Fall Accident  [Rotterdam, Netherlands &#8211; 02 December 2019]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>While local news media sources available to Blueoceana Company reveal virtually nothing, we have received an initial (very brief) report that a 25 year old longshore worker was killed in an accident at what we believe is the ECT facility at Rotterdam port yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initial report appears to indicate a shipboard venue, however, we can&#8217;t be completely certain about that (or any other) aspect of the incident that claimed this young man&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have, however, sent inquiries to sources at Rotterdam and hope to be able to update this post with further particulars in the fullness of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UPDATE:  03 December 2019; 9:45 AM EST<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sources at Rotterdam have indicated that the accident victim (known now only as &#8220;Jos&#8221;), is said to have fallen from a shipboard stack of containers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UPDATE: 03 December 2019; 10:15 PM EST<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Research has now uncovered a series of media accounts that chronicle yesterday&#8217;s accident.
