Reports coming to Blueoceana Company from the Port of Castries, St Lucia, bear out the fact that Wilson A. Joseph, 54, a longshoreman assisting with the loading of 40′ containers aboard M\/V BALTIC KLIPPER<\/strong>, was struck by one such container and allegedly caught between it and another stationary container already aboard the ship, causing fatal injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We understand that containerized banana loading operations were being conducted by stevedore contractor Kudos<\/strong>, on behalf of Winfresh<\/strong>, an exporter\/transporter of various forms of produce from Caribbean locales: https:\/\/www.winfresh.net<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The St. Lucia Air and Seaports Authority claims that Mr. Joseph’s death is the first in 36 years at their port facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
