{"id":1906,"date":"2017-11-24T17:34:56","date_gmt":"2017-11-24T22:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blueoceana.com\/?p=1906"},"modified":"2017-11-26T18:09:08","modified_gmt":"2017-11-26T23:09:08","slug":"marine-terminal-worker-fatally-injured-at-liepaja-port-latvia-22-november-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueoceana.com\/?p=1906","title":{"rendered":"Marine Terminal Worker Fatally Injured at Liepaja Port, Latvia  [22 November 2017]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>While media reports relating any information about this accident are presently unavailable, Blueoceana Company has learned from friends in Europe that a very young (24 year old) Latvian marine terminal worker was killed in an industrial accident at the <em>Port of Liepaja<\/em> last Wednesday (22 November).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our research indicates that the <em>Port of Liepaja<\/em>\u00a0is principally a bulk cargo handling port, and that bulk coal exports emanating from Liepaja have been increasing in substantial amounts over the last two years.
