{"id":1812,"date":"2017-08-30T19:02:15","date_gmt":"2017-08-31T00:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blueoceana.com\/?p=1812"},"modified":"2017-11-26T16:05:17","modified_gmt":"2017-11-26T21:05:17","slug":"dockworker-crushed-between-containers-at-container-yard-portsmouth-uk-25-august-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueoceana.com\/?p=1812","title":{"rendered":"Dockworker Crushed Between Containers At Container Yard  [Portsmouth, UK ~ 25 August 2017]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>While media accounts (see below) have been somewhat short in providing circumstantial information with regard to this accident thus far, we understand that\u00a0Mieczyslaw &#8216;Mitch&#8217; Siwak, a thirty-four year old dock worker in the employ of <em>MMD Shipping Services<\/em> and serving as a &#8220;<em>container park operator<\/em>&#8220;, was crushed between two containers during operations at the firm&#8217;s Flathouse Quay last Friday evening.
