Longshore Worker Fatally Injured [Wellington Port, New Zealand – 01 September 2026]

Information reaching Blueoceana Company would have us understand that an as-yet unnamed longshore worker was killed earlier today (01 September 2026) in an incident occurring at a marine cargo handling Wellington Port workplace operated the stevedoring firm C3.

News accounts (See links below) are far from comprehensive in their coverage and are conspicuously devoid of the nature of the operation being conducted and of the causal aspects of the accident. Thus, those facts remain unknown at this time.

Blueoceana Company has sent out requests for more information to colleagues at several New Zealand ports and our hope is to receive further advice from them. If and when such information arrives, we will up date this posting immediately upon receipt.
