Containership Allides With Ship-To-Shore Container Gantry Crane; One Hospitalized [Tyne Port, UK – 19 July 2026]
News reaching Blueoceana Company has us understand that C/V BG ORANGE (See photo below) struck and upended one of the Tyne port’s container gantry cranes yesterday afternoon (19 July), lifting the crane’s waterside legs off its rail and leaving it precariously tilted onto the vessel itself. It’s been reported that one worker has been hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening.
