Port Worker Fatally Crushed Under Container [Port Joinville, Ile d’Yeu. Atlantic France – 22 March 2026]

Information reaching Blueoceana Company today (06 April 2026) has us understand that M. Benoit Jacoulot, 38, a docking agent in the employ of Yeu Continent, was crushed by a container and killed during discharge operations attendant to M/V TAILLEFER 3 (See photo below) on 22 March 2026.

Local media accounts (See also below) relate that the container was being hoisted by a crane when it fell on M. Jacoulot. M/V TAILLEFER 3 carried its own mobile crane aboard and we must assume that it was that crane which was conducting the discharge operation in that no shoreside cranes are apparent.
