Shipboard Longshore Worker Hit By Falling Cargo, Knocked Into Harbor; Drowns [Port Limón, Costa Rica – 02 August 2025]
Information coming to Blueoceana Company reveals that Sr. José Guerrero Castillo, a docker working in the employ of Servinave on the early morning hours of 02 August 2025, was struck in the chest by a long piece of rebar that had separated from a bundle being loaded aboard an as-yet-unnamed ship that was docked at the Gastón Kogan Marine Terminal in the Moín section of Limón port. The impact was apparently significant enough to knock him from the ship and into the adjacent waters, where he drowned.
