Two Dockers Dead; Two Others Seriously Injured In Cargo Hold During Shipboard Steel Plate Discharge [Rotterdam, Holland – 19 June 2025]
News reaching Blueoceana Company this afternoon reveals that two as-yet-unnamed dockworkers were killed earlier today at Rotterdam port and two (also unnamed) colleagues were seriously injured during the discharge of steel plate cargo from the Belgian-flagged M/V Ronny-O (See photos above & below) at the C. Steinweg Group-operated Pier 6 [Waalhaven].
Initial reports indicate that the workers were in the hold of the vessel when cargo operations apparently failed, resulting in the casualties referred to above. As more information becomes available this post will be updated accordingly.
