HazMat Explosions/Fires Claim at Least 8 Lives and Hundreds of Injuries at Iranian Port  [Shahid Rajaei (Bandar Abbas), Iran – 26 April 2025]

Reports received moments ago at Blueoceana Company reveal that several explosions and resultant fires at one of Iran’s major ports on the Persian Gulf have killed several port workers and injured many others earlier today.

We understand that the contents of several intermodal containers received at that port in March included a component [sodium perchlorate] of ballistic rocket fuel have been called into question. Resultant fires spread to other nearby containers laden with flammable hazmat cargoes.
