Dockworker Fatally Struck By Pipe Cargo During Truck Loading [Dajiaozui, PRC – 24 June 2024]

As a product of our research, Blueoceana Company has learned that Mr. Wu Nan, a 55 year old dockworker at the Port of Dajiaozui, Guangdong Province, Peoples Republic of China, suffered severe head injuries when struck by an approximately twenty (20′) foot length of large diameter steel pipe as part of a draft he was loading into a waiting truck at the Public Wharf within that port. He died as a result of those injuries.

The sole media report available makes an indication that the rope used to hoist the draft that fell had parted.
