Port Worker Drowns After Fall Into Water at Ro-Ro Ferry Terminal [Loch Ryan Port, Scotland – 23 July 2024]

Blueoceana Company has learned that an as-yet unnamed 60 year old port worker has died in a drowning accident at Loch Ryan Port, Cairnryan, Scotland this past Tuesday morning (23 July 2024).

Media reports (See links below) differ somewhat, in that some relate that the port worker was aboard a vessel and fell into the water while others suggest that the fall occurred from an on-dock location.

In any event, we know that the worker was extracted from the water adjacent to a docked Stena Ro-Ro Ferry, but his life could not be saved.
