Unnamed Docker Fatally Injured Aboard Ro-Ro Ship [Rostock Port, Germany – 09 July 2024]

Information reaching Blueoceana Company reveals that an as-yet unnamed, 62 year old docker was killed in an apparent crush-type accident aboard an unnamed, Dutch-flagged Ro-Ro ship earlier this month [late morning, 09 July 2024] at Rostock port [Baltic Sea], Germany.

From media reports, we understand that the worker was serving as a signal person at or near the vessel’s loading ramp when he was caught between a moving tractor-trailer and the vessel’s bulkhead.

His injuries were immediately fatal.
