Marine Terminal Worker Backed Over; Killed by Reversing Tractor/Chassis Combination [Hamburg, Germany – 03 July 2023]

With great regret, Blueoceana Company has been made to understand that a 62 year old docker became the victim of a vehicular accident at Hamburg port’s Eurogate marine terminal on the evening of July 3, 2023.

Reports coming to us, along with independent corroboration from workers at that port, relate that the worker was walking through an intermodal chassis storage area when a reversing tractor/chassis combination backed over him. Despite efforts of emergency personnel who quickly responded, the worker died there.

No further information was forthcoming from any source.
