Marine Terminal Worker Fatally Injured in Struck-By Forklift Truck Accident [Valparaiso, Chile – 30 June 2023]

With great regret, Blueoceana Company has been made to understand that Sr. Patricio Cumian, at the time a pedestrian worker at TPV’s Terminal 2 at Valparaiso port, Chile, was struck and killed by a forklift truck that was being driven my another marine terminal worker.

Limited media coverage does not reveal whether or not the industrial truck was moving in a forward or reverse direction, and does not indicate what sort of craft Sr. Cumian was engaged in; nor what he was doing at the time of the accident.
