With great regret, Blueoceana Company has learned of an accident occurring yesterday at Trieste port, Italy, in which Sr. Paolo Borselli, a 58 year old forklift operator with many years of experience, allegedly lost control of his machine while at the port’s container terminal and ended up in the harbor where he apparently drowned.
His body’s retrieval was reported as being problematical, inasmuch as it took several hours for divers to find and return him to the terminal. At least one report we’ve observed online indicates that he was moving “baskets” as the time (which we must assume to mean twist lock bins) near the foot of Pier 7.
