Marine Terminal Worker Fatally Injured at St. Lawrence River Bulk/Breakbulk Facility  [Johnstown, Ontario, Canada – 24 January 2023]

A report coming to Blueoceana Company reveals that Mr. Steven Lennon, 53; of suburban Montreal, was killed in a workplace accident that took place at the Rideau Bulk Terminals (subsidiary of Logistec Terminals) facility at Johnstown port, Ontario (See photo below). Details of the accident that claimed his life have not been forthcoming through the company, the media nor the relevant investigative body.

We hope to learn more of this incident, and will update this post if and when further factual information becomes available. Blueoceana Company has made several inquiries to industry colleagues in the nearby area, and hopes to receive their input before too long.

UPDATE – 06 February 2023/1:15 PM EST:

Unconfirmed information coming to us relates that Mr. Lennon was a checker at a non-union facility, and was run over by an industrial [forklift] truck carrying lengths of steel rebar.
