Crew Member Falls To His Death Aboard Container Ship Berthed at Pier 400 [Los Angeles, CA – 25 January 2023]

With great regret, Blueoceana Company has learned of a fatal accident occurring earlier this evening aboard Maersk Line’s C/V EINDHOVEN (See photo above) while docked at Pier 400, Los Angeles port.

Based on news reports (See below) we surmise that the worker fell from a high position on a lashing bridge; down to the roof of a top tier below deck stowed container (a distance of approximately fifty feet). Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
