55 Year Old Longshoreman Fatally Crushed By Industrial Truck [Fortaleza Port, Brazil – 07 November 2022]

55 Year Old Longshoreman Fatally Crushed By Industrial Truck [Fortaleza Port, Brazil – 07 November 2022]

An online data search reveals the on-dock run-over death of a longshoreman, struck by an industrial truck during the loading of the reefer ship M/V GREEN EGERSUND with a cargo of fruit bound for Europe (See vessel photo below) on 07 November 2022.

Media accounts would have us understand that Joaquim Francisco Monteiro dos Santos, 55, was walking on dock, adjacent to the vessel, when he was struck by an industrial truck. He suffered crushing injuries to his head and died instantly.

Ministry of Labor officials are said to have found several irregularities which may have had causal attributes, and they are set out within the media accounts found below.
