Blueoceana Company has received information which relates that a 58 year old crane maintenance worker experienced a fall (or a collapse) caused by an unspecific “medical emergency” while on a platform approximately 150 above grade level.

Media accounts indicate that his jacket became caught on the platform’s edge, allowing fellow workers the ability to retrieve him and begin resuscitation attempts. Their efforts and those of responding emergency personnel, however, were not enough. He was pronounced dead at Tufts Medical Center later that day.

The as-yet unnamed worker was an employee of Capco Crane Hoist, a contractor retained by the owner of the crane, Massport.
