Longshore Worker Fatally Injured In Lumber Handling Incident [Tampa, Florida – 16 November 2022]

With great regret, Blueoceana Company had been made to understand that Kenneth Golston, an ILA worker (member of ILA Local Union 1402) lost his life earlier today when a draft of lumber fell from the forks of an industrial truck, crushing him while on the apron of a general cargo terminal’s wharf at Tampa port, Florida.

Given the relative timing of this accident, many of the neutral facts we would wish to impart are presently unknown. We have it on good account, however, that the stevedore/terminal operator is Ports America.

We will certainly provide updates to this post in the near term and urge our Subscribers to revisit this page in order to learn more over the next few days.
