With great regret, Blueoceana Company has received information which confirms the death of a longshore worker at the port of Gresik, Indonesia on the afternoon of 08 August 2022.
Mr. Abdur Rosyad, 41 years old, was apparently working on dock during the unloading of structural steel pieces from an as-yet unnamed foreign flagged vessel, when an errant wave impacted the ship. The wave’s force caused a piece of cargo to fall from the ship and onto the dock, where it struck the victim.
