Late arriving news coming to Blueoceana Company reveals that Sr. Jeiner Santamaría Maestre, 24, a heavy equipment operator, was crushed by a large electrical cable reel (cargo) he had been moving within Yard 11 at Barranquilla port, Colombia in the late afternoon of 09 April 2022.
He apparently experienced severe internal injuries that were not readily apparent immediately post-accident. He was taken to a nearby hospital facility shortly thereafter, where he subsequently died during the early morning hours of 10 April 2022.
