On Dock Warehouse Worker Fatally Crushed Between Stacks of Cargo [Jacksonville, Florida – 25 February 2022]

With great regret, Blueoceana Company has been made to understand that a member of ILA Local Union 1408 was fatally crushed between stacks of a tiered paperboard product earlier this afternoon (25 February) within an on-dock warehouse situated within the Blount Island Marine Terminal; at the port of Jacksonville, Florida.

Our current understanding, is that an industrial truck was moving one such stack and pinned Mr. Tim Middlebrooks (18) between that stack, supporting pallet(s) and a stack that was stationary.

This accident occurred within that last few hours, and in deference to issues of propriety we will withhold photographs and further information as to identity, etc., for the time present. In the fullness off time, however, we will update this post accordingly.
