Yard Tractor Mechanic is Victim in Backover Accident [Bayport (Houston), Texas -02 February 2022]

Blueoceana Company has just received an unconfirmed report that a mechanic working for a yard tractor leasing/maintenance firm at the Bayport Marine Terminal (Houston, TX), lost his life this afternoon (02 February) in a tractor back-over accident.

From what we’re told, the victim was conducting unspecified work at the rear of the machine when another mechanic in the tractor’s cab placed the transmission in reverse and caused the back-over.

We’re looking into acquiring further information, and will provide updates to this post as they become available. Until corroborating facts are disclosed to us, however, all else is considered conjecture.
