Late arriving news coming to Blueoceana Company from Vietnam relates that Mr. “NHV”, a drayman who was scheduled to pick up a import container at the Greater Hai Phong area’s Dinh Vu container complex, was struck and killed by a large industrial truck while in a sitting position near the facility’s container stacks.
Our understanding, as difficult as it may be to comprehend, is that the victim was simply sitting on the terminal’s pavement with his back against some stacked intermodal containers. The driver of the MT handler has stated that he did not see the trucker and thus could not avoid hitting him.
