Spanish Docker Believed Drowned in Vessel Capsize Event [Port of Castellón, Spain – 28 May 2021]

On the evening of 28 May 2021, at the Mediterranean port of Castellón, M/V NAZMIYE ANA (See photos below) a small container feeder ship, became dangerously unstable at dock during cargo operations and then completely capsized.

Initial reports indicated that a possible 10 individuals (merchant mariners and dock workers) were thrown into the water.

As time passed, however, we learned that at least one crew member (an Indian national) had perished and at least one dock worker was missing and presumed dead.

As of today (01 June) no further information has been made available through media sources. The 36 year old docker (know to us only as “David”) remains unfound.
