Crew Member Fatally Crushed During Heavy Lift Operations [Baltimore, MD – 20 December 2020]

With great regret, Blueoceana Company has been made to understand from a friend at Baltimore port, Maryland that a crew member aboard M/V PADEREWSKI (See photos below) was fatally injured earlier today during heavy lift cargo operations.

We’re told that the as-yet-unidentified worker was on deck, assisting in the movement of a pontoon adjacent to the lift when he was crushed between the pontoon and the vessel’s structure.
