Port Worker Suffers Fatal Crushing Injuries at Container Depot [San Antonio, Chile – 24 April 2020]

Late arriving news relates that a 57 year old port worker, known only as VTR at present, was fatally injured owing to crushing injuries sustained to his legs while working at a container depot at the port of San Antonio, Chile on April 24, 2020.

Media coverage is limited, but what can be discerned at this point in time leads us to conclude that the worker was run over by a piece of container handling equipment (likely a reach stacker or a top loader) at a container yard operated by Depósito y Contenedores (DYC):
