Port Worker On Bicycle Struck and Killed By Tanker Truck at Port Complex Entrance [Belize City, Belize – 18 November 2019]

A 71 year old port worker riding his bicycle to work was struck and crushed by a tanker truck at the intersection of Ceasar Ridge Road and Central American Boulevard yesterday, as he was entering the port complex at Belize City yesterday.

Rudolph Russell Arnold, identified as a longtime port stevedore and handyman, was killed instantly in an accident wherein at least some photographs appear to implicate poorly controlled, local intermodal traffic as being a causal factor.
