With great regret, we’re made to understand that two longshore workers were killed at the Indonesian port of Pontianak, Western Kalimantan on 04 April during cargo loading operations aboard M/V BISTARI 8. We understand the cargo consisted of drafts of plate steel.
The article linked to below speaks in terms of the apparent overloading and collapse of what appears to be a deck mounted crawler crane, and mentions a similar accident (at a nearby port) earlier this year in which no lives were lost.
